Lightning visit

My dad surprised me by taking me to Denmark for the weekend, by car, wich was quite an adventure ^^
We left Amsterdam on friday at 17.00 and arrived in Aalborg at 03.00 in the morning, we picked up Aske and tried to look for a hotel but every hotel/hostel was full because of a... Tupperware Convention.. Yes, I'm deadserious... >< We booked a hotel for the next night (Hotel Scheelsminde) so we decided to just go there and see if a room would be free early.
At 12.00 we could go into our rooms, finally a bed!!! We decided to take a shower first wich turned out to be a bit funny, with the shower head tumbling down all the time. Slept for a few hours and then went to the center of Aalborg to eat. Had some really yummy nacho chips with chicken and molten cheese. Oh and the lovely guacamole.. sooo yum :P

Back at the hotel we wanted to try the swimming pool but since we didn't bring our swimming clothes we had to use underwear etcn *angel* Turned out it was quite busy at that time so we went for a walk instead.
There were some senior gardens (volkstuintjes) and we stole a lot of yummy apples from the trees and some cherries (wich were a bit sour, but I loved it ^^)
On sunday we woke up early to try the swimming pool again, was very cold at first, but a good wake up at 8.00 :P After the icy pool we went into the sauna. I'm not a big fan of the sauna, I prefer the Turkish Steambaths (spelling?) But I quite enjoyed it for once. It wasn't that hot and actually stayed in for 30 mins or more :o
After we left the hotel we went to Egholm, an island next to Aalborg. We walked in the woods a bit and sat down on the beach where some red ants bit me :'(
We went back to the centre of Aalborg to drink something, we played a game of Yahtzee, wich I won yay! I learned to play chess, altho I sucked :P

At 18.00 my dad and me left again for Holland, shame it was so short, but it was worth it. Loved Aalborg, really nice place and would like to explore more of it. Loved the company, but that is kinda obvious. Looking forward to something like this again.
