<3

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away in the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort, without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; there is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.

All is Well.

Damn you, Mr Creditcard!

A few weeks ago I saw this amazing "toy" and it would be in stock end of November.
This morning I ordered it but what a waste of money it would be to just buy the toy... I mean.. they have amazing t-shirts!! :P I decided on 2 very nice t-shirts.
Talk Nerdy to Me and Things to Come. Especially the last one has such nice design, loving it. Spend a bit to much money, but hey.. it's Christmas soon, right? ^^
I'm very happy with them and for the next 6 months I have to stay off http://www.jinx.com/ to prevent myself from buying more ^^

Scary!

Exciting times! Don't want to go in to much details, but I hope to move soon *grin*
When I know more about it, I will ofc post about it ^^

Had some electricity problems last night and it wont give a signal to my monitor and wont supply power to my keyboard and mouse. Sending it away for repair this week :'(

Excuses, excuses...

Haven't been focusing on my blog lately and there are a few reasons for that, one is that I haven't been feeling great for a while now. The big question "what do I want out of life" has been a big issue lately. When I have something on my mind like this, it's all I can think about and it's not fun stuff to read about so I just stopped posting.
Still don't know what to do but everything looks a lil brighter then before :)

Sibbe, my cat, has been sick for a few weeks now, not really sick, but he is allergic to fleas.. no serious :P He started licking his entire fur off and it's still not really better but I kinda don't have the money to go to the vet again :S He is feeling a lot better tho so that is good. But when I was at the vet they found a disturbance in his heartbeat, so will have to take care of that. Really something for me, having a cat with heartproblems >< Dali on the other hand, is chatty as ever and is doing great.

The new expansion for WoW came out, Wrath of the Lich King, and I haven't bothered with the leveling to 80 a lot. There is a new class, Death Knight, wich is insanely fun, so I have been playing around with that. Late nights + heavy drinking and a lot of fun on the ventrilo servers ^^

So all in all I have been feeling happy the last few days, wich is good. Everything will solve itself soon enough. Future is bright! (someone slap me please? :P)

Belgium

With my contract with the job agency ending next week, I still had 5 free days left so I could either get them paid, but taxes would be cutting it in half, or just take a vacation. Belgium here I come!!!
Rented a house in the Ardennes, lot's of nature and close to some lovely towns such as Bouillon.
Two weeks ago we were thinking of going to Corfu, but suddenly my mum's boyfriend had to go on a business trip leaving my mum with the dog, Skilly. Then decided we could find something closer to home where we could get the dog with us and we found this house last minute. Click here!
Leaving monday and _really_ looking forward to it.

Telling me what to think.

Long time ago I used to order things at Wehkamp. It was very easy since you could get the items you didnt want back very easy.
Since I started swimming again I needed a new swimsuit, so I decided to check wehkamp because there is nothing I hate more then shopping for one. After a few minutes I found a nice one, not to expensive and pretty! I checked out the jackets as well since I badly needed one and found one for 40 euros. They have this policy that if you order before 8 you have it at home the next day. So 3 days later I finally recieved my order and to my surprise it only contained the jacket. I checked the reciepts and there was not a word about the swimsuit. Jacket didn't fit so I wanted to return it.
Next day I called to inform about the swimsuit and the return policy...

I told the woman how I waited 3 days for my order and her reply was "impossible" eh?
I asked what happened with my swimsuit and she replied "If you order something you should check if its available at the time, if it is out of stock you won't get it ofcourse!" told her that when I ordered the item was in stock. Her reply "It is on the reciept then" I told her it was not and she replied "Impossible!" err wha?
I then told her that I wanted to return my jacket and asked if there was a service where I could mail or bring it somewhere. She told me about DHL service points and I asked her wich was closest to my house. "You can't use this service" asked her why I couldn't "Because you are a new costumer" told her I was a costumer for years already but that didn't count somehow (don't ask why lol) So I asked her how I could return my items then. "We can make an appointment to come pick it up, every workday between 12.00 and 18.00" told her I wanted one at 17.30. "No, sorry, it's between 12.00 and 18.00 we can't make it more specific" told her I had work and I wouldnt take a day leave to stay at home waiting for wehkamp to get my stuff. "You will have to pay for the item and not return it" at that point something said click in my head and i got SO mad. I said, wow i think this is really crappy service and she actually managed to say this.... "No, you don't" asked her if she was insane telling me what to think and she told me not to be rude..

She has been busy the whole conversation trying to act as if I was a baby and as if I was telling lies (impossible!) Now she told me I was rude.. I'm sorry, I don't see how I was rude here...
Argh NEVER EVER am I gonna order at Wehkamp again. This is the worst service ever! considering just keeping the jacket. Maybe my mum likes it :P

Laptop Update

Saturday Ruud came by to drop off a copy of Vista, installed it. (after I forgot to plug in my laptop, we needed to start over because the power was simply gone, yes I am THAT smart!) Installed a few drivers and it's up and running again. Few things are still weird though. My wireless doesn't seem to connect. It can see all the acces points, but can't connect to them somehow. Don't know what is up with that.. :S
some drivers seem to stop working altogether from time to time as well. First my webcam drivers. I de-installed them and then my cam worked (yes without any drivers :S) and yesterday my sound just stopped, telling me the drivers weren't installed. So I restarted the pc and the lovely sound of Vista greeted me. (/wrist)

Ach, I can be on a stable pc for now till my pc is fixed aka new one :P

Bad day/Good day

Yesterday i woke up and something wasnt right. When I tried to talk to my cat (Yes, I'm one of those people!!) no sound came out and it felt like a bomb went off in my throat. My head felt "woolie" (Anyone got a better name for this?) and after half an hour of trying to get up and get dressed I decided I felt to sick to go to work. Called work and tried to let him know my voice was gone (quite tricky :P) Woke up again at 10 and I felt a bit better, just some kind of virus.
At 11 I wanted to watch the new episode of One Tree Hill (must watch serie!!!) and I went to watch it at my desktop, 2 minutes in the power went out and I decided to grab my laptop. Started it up and then I noticed I wasn't the only one coming down with a virus. Never seen so much porn ads before the Screen of Doom... Blue Screen. To make a long story short, I spend the next 6 hours trying to get my antivirus program to run and I found out it was a Trojan in Win32. Looked up what could be done about it and tried all, nothing worked. At this point I was so pissed that I got my Windows XP cd and just formatted the whole thing. Worked like a charm, so I tried to setup the internet and found out drivers were missing. After 2 hours of searching, found out that the network drivers weren't compatible with windows XP... I was ready to either throw my laptop out of the window or kick Bill Gates, at these times I just wish I saved more for a mac -.- next time.. next time :P
Now I knew the virus was gone and if I installed Vista like a moron my laptop would be allright <3 Special thanks to Bart who helped me NOT to have a nervous breakdown because of this :D

I finally watched the first episode of the season from One Tree Hill wich was great!!! My bf decided to speak Danish to me, wich was very very understandable *cough* Had an awesome talk about ice cappuccino and in wich coffee machine to make it (NONE ffs :P) and a generally nice night with some dc-ing of my good old desktop, but who cares!!! *Happy*

Quote!

I was just browsing the Silent Hill 5 forums when I found a comment wich made me giggle :P

I dont like the sound of an "all new combat system". Sounds like theyre overcomplicating the simple "shitoshitoshit" combat.

This goes for so many games. You have a great game, though the combat system just plain sucks. It is playable, but meh. So for the next game in the series, they make an "all new combat system" wich translates in "We looked at what was wrong and made it even worse!" Really looking forward to see how this ends ^^
Not to long anymore, Silent Hill: Homecoming will be in stores at the end of september *happydance*

Play!

Ever since I heard of this concert I wanted to go there, Play! A Video Game Symphony.
They always toured in the U.S.A. so that was kind of hard to reach ^^ This year they are coming to Copenhagen, when I saw that I decided that I would go, make a weekend out of it. It's after my birthday so my financial situation should be a bit better as well.

But the funny part, I'm gonna combine this now to visit Aske as well, going to the concert together and enjoying ourselves ^^
Coincidence :)

Really looking forward to the concert itself. On the latest shows Akira Yamaoka played A song, wich is one of my fav songs in the Silent Hill series. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EJ38UUXjQDw I really hope he will be there, I so love the games because of the great music!

Ok, well that's enough of my fangirl addictions ><

/shoo

Ok, I'm on a roll here >< have a lot to post :P
Yesterday I had a bit of an emo-rant day, sorry for that to the people who listend and thanks for all your support ;) But back on topic.

In friendships/relationships a lot can go wrong, this is a known fact. But what I don't understand is when people suddenly dissapear.
Just out of nowhere no contact. Last words in a conversation "We need to have more contact, I'm sick so I'm going home from work, I'll be on msn later today. Talk to you soon, xxx missed you!" That was 26th of june and I haven't heard a thing since. I know he's alive but that's about it.
I can understand if a friendship is over after a fight or something happening, but this is just so weird.

Would just like to speak to him to know why. That's all :P

Contract

I just got offered a contract for a year. I should be _so_ excited.. but I'm not :S
Basically I have a dream job, I don't have to do much, can read some books and if my boss isn't here. I can even bring my laptop and play some games or watch some series/movies.

Who wouldn't want that right? well.. me...
It all sounds awesome and yay but I need a more rewarding job to be honest. I come home tired, from doing nothing. My brain just stops working from reading damn gossip sites and playing flash games.

meh, I feel spoiled for not being happy about this, a lot of people would kill for this job, just right now I'm at a stage of "what the hell to do with my life?" I want to study, but study what? My dream was always to leave Holland someday, live/work abroad but with the study I had in mind I can't really work in another country. Lot of people say, just stay in Holland! but well, I'm always picking men in other country's too, so meh..

Why isn't stuff like this more easy? I'm all confused :(

Lightning visit

My dad surprised me by taking me to Denmark for the weekend, by car, wich was quite an adventure ^^
We left Amsterdam on friday at 17.00 and arrived in Aalborg at 03.00 in the morning, we picked up Aske and tried to look for a hotel but every hotel/hostel was full because of a... Tupperware Convention.. Yes, I'm deadserious... >< We booked a hotel for the next night (Hotel Scheelsminde) so we decided to just go there and see if a room would be free early.
At 12.00 we could go into our rooms, finally a bed!!! We decided to take a shower first wich turned out to be a bit funny, with the shower head tumbling down all the time. Slept for a few hours and then went to the center of Aalborg to eat. Had some really yummy nacho chips with chicken and molten cheese. Oh and the lovely guacamole.. sooo yum :P

Back at the hotel we wanted to try the swimming pool but since we didn't bring our swimming clothes we had to use underwear etcn *angel* Turned out it was quite busy at that time so we went for a walk instead.
There were some senior gardens (volkstuintjes) and we stole a lot of yummy apples from the trees and some cherries (wich were a bit sour, but I loved it ^^)
On sunday we woke up early to try the swimming pool again, was very cold at first, but a good wake up at 8.00 :P After the icy pool we went into the sauna. I'm not a big fan of the sauna, I prefer the Turkish Steambaths (spelling?) But I quite enjoyed it for once. It wasn't that hot and actually stayed in for 30 mins or more :o
After we left the hotel we went to Egholm, an island next to Aalborg. We walked in the woods a bit and sat down on the beach where some red ants bit me :'(
We went back to the centre of Aalborg to drink something, we played a game of Yahtzee, wich I won yay! I learned to play chess, altho I sucked :P

At 18.00 my dad and me left again for Holland, shame it was so short, but it was worth it. Loved Aalborg, really nice place and would like to explore more of it. Loved the company, but that is kinda obvious. Looking forward to something like this again.

Navaras

The nine ("nava") emotional states ("rasa") that are exhibited during music, drama, and the visual arts, the experience of which bring about a state of transcendental bliss.

As I still (very casual) play WoW with some friends of mine we decided to switch servers, when some old Symmetry members heard that we would be leaving, they wanted to come with us. Since we suddenly were with more then a guild would take in at once we decided to start up our own little guild. It won't be used for hardcore raiding, just some casual play with friends.
I'm very happy with this decision since I really missed the people from Symmetry and playing with them.
We started thinking of a name and a lot liked Navaras because of the meaning behind it. Juno Reactor has a song called Navras, wich is used in the Matrix movies. I loved the song so I looked up the meaning of Navras and tadaaa guildname was born.

Juno Reactor - Navras

Vacation

From the 10th till the 20th I had my summer vacation and I had very nice company I must say ^^
Friend of mine, Aske, was coming over from Denmark to visit me for 10 days, the start was a bit crappy since there was something wrong with the flight and he had to catch the flight at 7 in the morning the next day, leaving him to "sleep" at the airport so instead I had a friend of mine come over to watch some One Tree Hill, some awesome series wich I'm totally addicted to. next morning (I slept for 10 mins ><) I went to pick him up from the airport and we both looked like ghosts, we said hi, went to my place and went to bed, but not being able to sleep :P
We did kiss tho *blush*

The next day I went to the concert of Leonard Cohen, already wrote about that in my last post, was so amazing. In october he plays in Berlin and I'm going there with my mum, making a weekend out of it. He also announced a new concert in Rotterdam in november, checking if i can go there.. aswell xD (I'm not a groupie.. honest!!) Oh and I want to try and get to the Play Concert wich is in Copenhagen, but it would be SO cool to see that live..

Anyway, I'm drifting off a bit, wanted to tell about my awesome vacation in Amsterdam! (playing tourist, whoohoo!) On sunday we went to visit the centre of Amsterdam, seeing the canals, going into little streets, ate some ice cream at Tofani's and went to Kung Fu Panda (lovely movie!!) It was fun to walk in Amsterdam like this, seeing places and things you would normally not notice because it's all "normal" to me, living here.
We went to the Bijlmer and the Amsterdam Arena, home of Ajax! we biked all the way to Oudekerk aan de Amstel, wich was very nice, except that I burned and the wind wasn't nice to us on our way back >< We had BBQ on my balcony, wich was quite fun, never did that before. (ofc I over ate xD)
Thursday Ruud and Bart came over and we walked a bit in the centre again, trying to find a gift for Ruud, since it was his birthday the next day. (seriously, can't you take a hint..?!) We got him this awesome Warcraft book, very nice, very jealous... :P
Next day we went to Artis, the zoo, was really fun, didn't go there for a long time and was good to see it all again. In the evening we got a surprise visit from my Soesie, Renée, with wine!! We drank a bit to much (since 2 bottles with 3 people wasn't enough we HAD to buy more, you understand that, right? :P) and played some Munchkin.
The rest of the week the weather was quite bad, so we just stayed in and played some Serious Sam campaign (almost finished it!) and I kicked his ass in Halo 3 <3

Had a really great vacation without even traveling somewhere AND I met this great guy, yay for me :P

Sunday 13 July 2008

Mixed Feelings.

Next saturday I will go to the Leonard Cohen concert @ Westerpark Amsterdam. It's not exactly music someone of my age would listen to, I got in contact with it through funerals.. I love his music, It has meaning and for me it even has added meaning.

My mum and me decided to go since it is something we share and I felt really great at going, just recently there has been some shit going on and I'm a bit.. emotional. Point is, when I am, I can't really listen to his music since all the added thoughts come up and I can't keep it dry.
I'm really looking forward to this, but at the same time I'm scared.. YAY ><

Leonard Cohen - Waiting for the Miracle (Extended version)

- I love my gamer (Don't have one yet, but I'll find one!)
- I love my geek (same as above ;))
- Talk nerdy to me (need I say more?)
- RUN AWAY!!!
- Priest (Urgi! <3)
- Level ?? Humanoid

As you can see I seriously need your help ;)

EDIT: narrowed it down :D ./proud

Game Music... again!

Ok here is some more music ^^
This is Utada Hikaru, her song Simple and Clean was used for Kingdom Hearts (Japanese version is called Hikari) and it's simply amazing. Last night I found this live version wich gave me chills.

And as it happens with youtube, you check the related stuff as well :P
I found her version of Greenday's Boulevard of Broken Dreams, man.. she has got this awesome voice, she can make everything work.

Isn't she cute with the talking in front? <3

Tuesday 1 July 2008

The Death of a Fantasy..

Halo.. Master Chief.. his voice...
I know not a lot of girls play this game but I happen to like it and yes.. Master Chief does have a rather.. yummy voice :P
I was strolling around on IMDB and came to halo, got curious who did the voice of Master Chief (I know, I know, a bit late after 3 games, no?).
The guy is called Steve Downes and he looks like this.

Can I go sob in the corner now? ><

Party!

Last saturday was my mums party. Good and bad things to say about it.

It was a shame that the football match between Russia and Holland was on the same day, so my mum planned it that we ate at 7, or started then and then people could watch the game at 8.45 and after we could come back to enjoy some drinks etc.
Few people misread the invitation so they turned up at 8. Wich resulted in rushing through the food and people watching the game.
after that there was another 30 minutes extra because Holland was simply playing dramatically. So at around 11 pm everyone was done with the football (and I mean really done, Russia won.) so at 12 pm people started leaving again, wich was a bit of a shame.

for myself, after working quite hard on friday and saturday to get this all going and in between not nearly enough sleep, i got a bit pissed at people coming late and probably drank a bottle of rose even before dinner. It was really unlike me, since I dont drink that much. Thank god I didn't feel drunk though :) What did get to me was that i was really tired.. I didn't talk to a lot of people and only wanted to go to bed :P

It sounds all really negative, but it was an awesome party, just was to damn tired and that stupid game ruined a bit of fun.
But then again, will not try and organise this big of a party anytime soon :P

Friday 20 June 2008

Just a few songs <3

BoobPie <3

This weekend I went to Barry and Joyce in Almere and Ruud came over from Almelo. Unfortunately Mr Feor/Joost couldn't make it due to the flu.
Since Joyce and me are always cooking/baking we decided to try a yummy recipe this time. We made "Chocolate Heaven Cake" and I bought some pink icing from Thomas Green (English store).
Since us four were all from my old guild Symmetry we wanted to write something funny on it, then we remembered our lovely "Manmeat" thread on the forums and how all the guys wanted to see our boobs. SO we decided to give them just that... in icing ;)

It was a great weekend, with all the darkrooms and jokes :) Hope that Mr. Carebear can be there next time as well, missed you there!

P.S. the cake did not only look stunning (boobs huh?) but it tasted awesome as well, gonna make it for my mum's birthday saturday ;) (no boobs!)

Party!

21st of june my mum is throwing her (2nd) 50th birthday party!
It's her birthday on the 9th of december but since she wanted a garden party she decided not to celebrate it then, since thats a bit cold xD, but in the summer. So William (her boyfriend) and me decided that was bullshit and threw her a surprise party in december and in 2 weeks, she will throw her own party :)

My uncle lives on a farm and the party will be held there and it's a lot of planning involved. Because of my mum's health she doesnt have the energy a "normal" person has, so she started planning a while ago and asked some people to help her in the process. I took the day before the party off from work so I can help her with cooking etc. On the day itself I'm going there early to help set up and more cooking. But now... I'm in charge of music!! I'm so happy, love music :D

So I thought, 50th birthday, she wants to dance.. I downloaded all the Tour of Duty cd's (anyone remember them? :P) and my mum was fiddling around on youtube to see what she liked. We got a whole list, from Chris Isaak to Dolly Parton to Gerudo Valley from Zelda (YES!!!) and now it's my job to get them all on cd's ^^

Looking forward to the party, at least I know the music will be good ;)

Thoughts

It seems that every few years I need to change things or something, what is that? Am I running away from something?
Few years ago I kinda stopped seeing all my friends from school. I needed change, I was stuck. Got back in contact with two of them, wich is good, I'm happy about that.
Sometimes it just feels as if I'm running, running from people, running from things wich are good. If you get to attached it will hurt when it's over. or something...

In an earlier blog I told you I wanted to switch to studying again next year, well I decided to do that later since I don't want this to fail, I need more time to think. I need to make the right decision for once :P

Two or three weeks ago I broke up with Olli, we were together for 1.5 years, It hurts, it's weird and it's life. We have to go on and that is what I'm doing. I'm enjoying my free time, wich I have without my guild and without a boyfriend.

It just starts to feel that every 2/3 years I need changes, I don't want changes, I want my thoughts to settle down.

Song wich is in my head the last few weeks, Damien Rice - 9 Crimes (thanks volc ;)) with a WoW Machinima wich is simply beautifull.

Sunday 8 June 2008

Poor Sibbe..

Dali is in heat.. a.k.a. horny...
She is drving me and Sibbe up the walls! Every time Sibbe walks by she brushes her ass against him, whining noise...
One time she has sibbe to try stuff, just Sibbe being without balls, he didnt quite understand and just started kicking her, wich was quite funny to see ^^ After that Sibbe kinda ignores her, but hey, so do a lot of guys! he just used Dali! (or was it the other way around? xD)
Just hope it won't take THAT long and I have to start saving to get her some snipsnip as well :P

Choices, choices...

Don't you hate big changes?
Especially when you still need to make the decision...

I always wanted to study for English Teacher, but becasue of personal issues it never really came down to that and now Im working full time as office manager at a Japanese company.
It feels like my life is rushing by me and Im still trying to figure out how and what, and doing something I know I won't like for the rest of my life. So I went to check out the studies wich are avaiable at the moment, and seeing I always like to care and solve problems and help I decided to do the study to become a teacher, from the age of 4 to 12. Maybe after that I wanna see if I can specialise with kids with learning disorders or who are having a handicap.

All sounds very interesting etc but since Im living on my own, paying rent etc, this is not an easy step. So I will see if i can either do the first year homeschooling or do it part time (with my job next to it.) Since Im already 22 and the study will take me 4 to 6 years I would prefer to start in September this year, so I need to hurry with decisions a bit :S

Special thanks to Thomas who gave me some pointers with this, checking them out atm. :D

Monday 26 May 2008

Byebye...

Last week I had to make a really hard decision, for me, the fun in WoW kinda stopped since I was to busy trying to run the guild. Making the jump from Gruul and Maggy to SSC/TK was kinda hard and doing that with only a few leading roles turned out to be rather.. interesting...
When one of the officers, Ethin, decided to stop with WoW It was more or less me trying to run guild and it was to much responsibility. Ethin told me he was going to play Age of Conan and after I looked into that I decided to buy it as well and give it a try.

So friday I played it and kinda never stopped again. It's very different from WoW but in a good way I think. Im playing a Priest of Mitra atm and because of some problems with my graphics card im "only" level 16 >< Havent done anyt instance yet but I have to say that the way you heal is refreshing, you don't have any big heals just heal over timers till now.
Im looking forward to trying this out in an instance and ofcourse to the end game content at level 80.

For the people wanting to join me on AoC Im on the PVE server Dagon, known as Eilin - Priest of Mitra or Aurian - Tempest of Set.

meh.

been real busy the last few days :(
or well, more in a good way :D

For guild we are trying to implement some new rules wich im more happy about, bit more strict wich should give us a more smooth raiding experience. Hope it all works out :P
Gruul and Maggy are a steady raid on one night now, wich is quite a nice feeling, now we just want the rest ^^

We had queensday here, wich was quite a nice off day ^^ met up with some people and been just generally lazy. The day after was a free day as well and I can't even remember what I did then except with who I was, so I was probably lazy then as well :S
The saturday after this I organized some tickets for the Animecon 2008 in Almelo, the Netherlands. Was really looking forward to it but because of some complications with a place for the night we couldn't go unfortunately. Next year on the day the tickets open for sale I will buy them straight away and get a hotel for the whole weekend :P

Oh yes.. I have been humiliated DEEPLY!!!
I know Dwarfs aren't the most loved class in the game, but you all know me, and you all know Im cute, love-able and funny! (ego-trip ftw xD) No need to make fun of me.. and if my lovely features get me somehow... stuck...

Serious Sam

Found out yesterday that Croteam (http://www.croteam.com/) Is working on Serious Engine 3 (what other game can be made with that then Serious Sam 3?!)

AND there is a game called Serious Sam Forever (flashback anyone? xD) in the making, not by Croteam but by Prophets of Sam (http://www.prophets-of-sam.com/)

Can't wait for more information, gief E3!!!!
Ruud, wanna plaaaaay? xD

Mr. Maggy!

Last friday we decided to go to Magtheridon's Lair.

Since none of the officers been there yet it was a bit scary, we ofcourse read the tactics but still, sometimes a bit of experience makes the difference. So I asked who allready been there and Teorth, a new warrior in guild, said that he had some experience and immidiately took over explaining. I was very impressed with this and after a lot of talks on wich place to put everyone, we had a go.

For the non-wowers: Magtheridon is a fight you do with 25 people. It has 3 phases where you have to do different things. Basically the first phase Magtheridon is captured by 5 enemy's. first you attack these and when that is done you go to phase 2. on the places where the enymy's were you have to click a cube. after that phase the whole ceiling comes down, stones falling on your head etc. and after that youre done.

The first try we had the first phase completed, but then with the cube clicking, 5 people have to click at the same time so that was a bit hard to coordinate at first. But once we figured that out it went very smooth.

Have to say that I was very proud at the fact that everyone came prepared, everyone was very concentrated (till someone started joking about asses Oo *shakes fist*) but even then, after some fooling around, on the try itself, it went amazing, focussed. <3

Tonight we have a second try at him, and seeing the way it went last time.. Im having a good feeling about it ^^

We got a Winner!

This has got to be one of the best movies I have ever seen. I can't get the story out of my head, the movie always leaves me feeling physically sick. (Is that a good thing? yes.) Anyway, The movie is about drug addiction and the different reasons behind it. It starts off as a pretty solid story, but along the way the movie splits in 4 different story's with 4 different reasons and from the person's view.
What I loved about the movie when I saw it the first time is that at the end I couldn't tell you a turning point, I couldn't see where it all went wrong since it goes so gradually, just like a "real" addiction I think.

Another part I really loved is the soundtrack, it makes you feel awkward while watching and sometimes it's even demonic or sad. Done by Clint Mansell and the Kronos Quartet. It really makes the atmosphere and the story's of the movie better.

This movie leaves you watching the credits in silence, thinking about the whole thing. You want to share it to people, although it is not a the most pleasant experience. Still, it is one to watch.

Random Shizzle!

Normally a little story forms in my head before I write the blog but now because of the stupid internet, it's kinda gone >< Don't get me wrong, I do have a sort of real life (who am I kidding huh? -.-')
Had an amazing weekend, lots of fun and been playing some of my old games (read non MMO) like Serious Sam. Oh how I loved the game on the xbox, hours and hours I played it. But since my xbox died a horrible dead a year ago, I had to play the Gamecube version. Playing it Co-op with Olli and after a night of hours and hours of fun... It doesnt save in multiplayer.... omg.. no.. I was SO enjoying it.. but to play EVERY level first in single player only to let it be saved till next time.. no... thanks...

Ok so we played Heroes 3 (someone remember that?!) awesome 2d-ish action, perfect. So after we are exploring kingdoms, slaying dragons for hours and hours.. corrupt save... GAAH :( Ah well, lets start over.. (Campaign is SO addictive!!!!) When I start thinking about it now, there is a third one. Started playing Tomb Raider 2. (square old Lara, YUM) Used to LOVE the game, I think I played it through 5 or 6 times. So in 3 seconds (after some jumping mistakes) Im finished with the first level. (WITH T-rex ofc ^^) So the movie starts to play, the bad guy dies and.. ehm hmm.. you need a new .exe version to get to the second level.. Right, no internet to look what this actually is, so that's yet another game to put on the pile of CRAP :'(

I personally think it's a conspiracy of microsoft (duh?) to let us play new games xD okok, serious, what's up with the new platforms not being able to play the old games, makes me a Sad Sushi :(

On a more serious note, internet MIGHT be up tomorrow, doubt it somehow :(
Oh and good luck to two friends of mine tonight, one with working longer without the dorfie for poking and one with cooking! May the spoon be with you!

Internet Fails Again!

At the end of last year I was switching internet providers, brave move, but I heard a lot of good stuff about Tele 2 AND I would get a free laptop <3 My old provider would stop at 31 december and the new one would be available the 2nd of january, my old provider stayed on till the 7th thank god since I got confirmation that Tele 2 would be late with a few days. after the few days, you might have guessed it, nothing! To make a long story short, half of february I had my internet back. Lovely Service!!

A week ago on monday, I was just having a conversation with my mum on the phone, wanted to go on checking my e-mail after she hung up and the internet had no connection. Got a bit annoyed since my router fucks up a lot, so went to restart it, nothing after it. Went fiddling with the wires since they aren't in the best shape, nothing.
So I called Tele 2 and they did a test! yes, a test! to check if it was my modem or that the phoneline itself was failing. The woman said this: "I think you should take better care of your modem since there is nothing wrong with the line" wich pissed me off quite a bit since who is she to tell me to take better care of my stuff? xD She asked me what was the best time for me to be called back by the helpdesk, told her after 5 every workday, so ofcourse the next day they call me at 12 at my work ;)

Anyway, since i couldn't see what was going wrong I asked my mum's boyfriend to take a look, we tried 3 or 4 modems (yes I have a collection!!) and nothing seemed to work. He called the helpdesk again and they told him again that they would perform a test and he would be called back after. So I muttered something about, test wont help they already did that, and like they will call you back :S After 2 minutes he got called back (./gasp) and told them that there was no signal on the line. (ehm, didnt the girl tell me it was my fault and there was nothing wrong withthe line?) If I'm lucky (lol?!) I will have internet again by friday, if not (duh) 3 weeks.

Because then I DO get internet?

Thursday 3 April 2008

For all you lovely druids ;)

Badges.

Quite funny how Kara is back on the map because of the 2.4 Badge Madness. In one way I say yes, good, perfect!! We can get super loot by doing Kara, what more can you ask for? Well... progress as a guild? I mean yes, in the long run it might be better, but we were just progressing in the higher instances, and if we can't find 25 man for a raid, you tell the guild and all they say is " ah shame, better luck next time! kara instead?" but when there is only one kara team running? pfff all hell breaks lose..

Hope it will settle down a bit and we can get back to progress again. (now gief internet?!)

Stress, stress...

Came home, sat down behind my laptop and... NO.. nonono...! Internet.. stopped.. working..
Ok this isnt so bad, just restart the modem, it will be ok *restart* ok it won't be ok, crap.. ehm try restart again.. no nothing, call the company? "You do not use the modem we gave to you, we can not help you" Ah yes, the modem that didnt work in the first place, no im not using it so now because they give me a faulty device, they can't help me, don't you love providers? <3><><><

However, good side on the having no internet as well! Me and Olli (Crunchy) did some changes in my house now :D It's gonna look so cool, it already looks more spacious wich is what I wanted. Thursday hopefully Im going to the Ikea to get my new desk and maybe bookcase. Dali and Sibbe (my two mental cats) were all happy and scared with the changes, they were trying out everything ( as in, jumping on it, breaking stuff, etc..!) ah well, at least they like it ^^

Monday 31 March 2008

Why.. :o

Ok, I made this because this is what I do in my free time, I do not want to bore all my "rl-friends" with this but I do think the things I do in WoW (World of Warcraft) are fun for myself and others to read (back).

Anyway, I'll tell a little about myself first.

I'm Floor, 22 years old and live in Holland or ingame, Urgilash, Dwarf Priest lvl 70 and Guild Master of Symmetry on Balnazzar EU.

About 2 years back I started playing Wow and from the moment I started playing I got into a raiding guild. I was leveling a Night Elf Rogue, Serva, at the time and after a few months I made it to level 60 which was the highest back then. I started doing the end game raids and in february (I think) the expansion came out, The Burning Crusade.

It was a huge change, from 40 man raids to 10 or 25 man raids. A lot of guilds went down and I didnt agree with the guild I was in anymore, I started up Symmetry with my boyfriend, who I met in WoW as well, living in Finland ^^

As a lot of new guilds popped up it was hard to convince people to get into MY kara guild and not in one of the other 500. Recruiting went slow but somewhere in June we hit the spot, we went to Kara, had huge amount of fun and we had raids every week. Ofcourse because the jump from 10 man to 25 man is huge, a lot of guilds were struggling to get that, Tried a lot of raid alliances, one even worse then the other and finally got there. We are now doing Gruul and trying to advance in the other 25 man's as well.

However, getting the 25 people at the same time at the same place, still continues to be a struggle. One week we have 4 25 man raids with 30/35 people signed up and a lot of people to choose from. the other week we can't seem to get anythinggoing since we only have 13 sign ups.

Frustrating yes, but makes for a fun blog I think, So.. that's the why ;)
